True is the third studio album by English band Spandau Ballet, released on 4 March 1983 by Chrysalis Records. It reached number one on the UK Albums Chart, number 19 on the US Billboard 200. It was also Spandau Ballet’s first album to be recorded outside of London.

Hi stan,
Your “Amen” speaks volume, and very much appreciated.
Familiar song, indeed, glad to have brought back this tune to your musical ear.
Warm regards,
Rene
Nice rendition for sure. You never did say how you get both the vocal and guitar balanced that well. And The reverb??? Anyway the first time I see a new song of yours up for review i say “maybe this time” Referring of course the first time I hear a mutt form you. ha ha You are setting the bar very high for the rest of us.
Hi feaker,
The mics, both vocals and guitar, are recording both voice and guitar sounds at the same time.
I guess, I lucked out in the balance of both mics.
For the reverb, I am using Room Reverb #6 on my Yamaha mixer, and set at about 15%.
Thanks for asking Paul!
Rene
Rene,
From your nearby thread: I think America is one of the best mellow 70’s bands. I haven’t hear the original “Sandman” in a long time. I had to listen to the original on youtube, for comparison. Your version sounds very good! Singing and guitar playing! Especially for one person doing everything at once! Same comments for your version of “True”! There’s a whole lot going on in the original “True” for one guy to cover all at once. But somehow you succeeded! Very good singing & guitar playing!
Hi Aaron,
You are simply awesome, and glad to hear from you again.
You are always a treat to hear from, and you are so much appreciated.
Warm regards,
Rene
What a wonderful take on True, Rene! I have Toutube TV set to record all the I love the 80’s etc MTV videos and will just scan through them before bedtime some nights, looking for songs like this one which always resonated with me. And believe me, most times there’s a lot of fast forwarding going on as not that many really stand the test of time.
