Superaudio - Will mix your tracks for $5 (USD) - that's FIVE DOLLARS

This case is different. See 4 replies previous. ^

Maybe find someone that will fill all of your needs .

Working on it.

He has listed editing as one of his skills, not as part of the gig description.

Ah. Correct. I’ll be careful to take note of that difference in the future. Thanks AJ.

Just another point: That photo might not be him or his desk, or it might be him sat at someone else’s desk. ā€œHeā€ might even be a woman. You can’t draw any real conclusions other than:

  1. If you pay the seller at least $5 he/she will mix a track.
  2. Judging by his/her ratings and feedback, he/she’ll probably make a decent job of it.

If you try to read anything more into it than that you’re probably going to end up well wide of the mark.

All he needs is to feel superior.

In his defense, the ad guy looks more like a car mechanic than a mixing engineer. But, i’m hoping it’s just a picture taken on a bad, hot day.

What’s wrong with this guy? I don’t get it. The guy is doing honest work, STARTING at 5 bucks, and I’m pretty sure he’s good, otherwise wouldn’t have all those good reviews on fiver. Competition is not easy these days, and maybe he doesn’t need the extra money, maybe he does. I make a pretty decent living as live sound engineer, and last month I mixed/mastered a record with 12 songs for 100 bucks. The guy didn’t have a lot of money, but I did it anyway. What’s the problem with that?

I don’t think anyone is saying that anything is ā€˜wrong’ with the guy. It’s just that his description and picture gives the impression that he’s a bigger deal… and maybe he is. Maybe he’s not. It’s just that $5 doesn’t match up with that visual and description, but he’s free to ask whatever he likes. He’s either legit and cheap, or not.
