It would be really great if anyone could listen to any of my original songs that I have composed and recorded for my latest album called A Ricardian Argosy. It is due for release on Spotify and Apple music etc on the 22nd May 2025. The songs feature the sounds of the Mellotron and it was inspired by Philippa Langley’s missing Princes project and book. All of the lyrics are clean apart from the song called Richard The Three which is track 15 on Bandcamp.

Congrats on the album! To me, there is this medieval feel to it with some modern flavors in some clever ways. Well done!
Thank you and yes I have tried to give the songs a medieval feel with a modern English folk rock style.
Legendaryten,
The first few seconds reminded me of Peter Gabriel. Then it briefly reminded me of the Beatles. Sound quality is not stellar, but that’s OK. I found the song amusing, in a good way. It was well performed. Are you a Brit? Perhaps you could check out my latest thread.

Thank you for listening to my music and yes I live in Torquay in South Devon.
Haven’t had a chance to listen in full, but I was immediately reminded of Jethro Tull’s early albums. Nice feel to it.

I have often been told that my songs remind them of Jethro Tull. Sometimes you can hear a Mellotron flute sound on my recordings similar to the sound on Julia Dream by Pink Floyd.
