Mixed to sound like a crappy live show. In no way is it supposed to sound Grammy worthy. Comment on how convincingly live it sounds! (My original file player kept disappearing, so I re-uploaded it.)

Kudos! You actually did a convincing job. I was cracking up.
You have to make the guitar sound crappyer and the singer more off key. Because no one sings on key live. I guess āon keyā is just not in style (judging by what Iāve been hearing live over the last 5 years) lol.
hint hint (less reverb tooā¦that was a hair too much even for faux-live). But I get what you were going forā¦same as @holster, it gave me a good laugh too.
that was amazing! probably the funniest mix iāve ever heard. what tuning software did you use? iām not sure the band would like it though.
@isaacyom I used the native plugin in the Reaper DAW, itās called ReaTune. I set it to manual correction and turned off the octave controls. I think they would quickly gain a reputation as the worst live band on earth if this was released. My hope is that one day this band gets famous and has to compile a box set for their record company. They donāt care at all about it and hand it off to their producer who asks the fans for material. I send him this, and he includes it as a joke to the band. They then get mad and demand that it be taken off. It is then immortal as a first pressing gem.

Very funny āliveā mix. The singer is too āoutā (musically) compared to very good playing band, throw out him from the group :-).
Great version, Vox is superb, how did you do that?

^That.
The singer does seem to be the weak link doesnāt he? Other people have pitch problems, he has octave problems.
Nothing to bash here
this is awesome!
i love it lol.
(it reminds me of a thread on RR where a guy was trying to prove he could sing, and kept posting vocal takes worse than this and was convinced he was a talanted singer . that was so funny!)
Should have entered it as my official, but I did the St. Anger version first and itās pretty awesome as well.

Really clever idea - the whole live thing! Iāll bet it could sound really good without the singer going off too. Heās got a helluva range though!
Originally the singer was in key, but thanks to a suggestion from Jonathan, I was able to remedy that. Glad you enjoyed it though, his range is rather impressive isnāt it?
