Just waiting for the rest of my family to wake up for Christmas - a rather latecomer to the field of home mixing (in my 40’s) wishing everyone out there a lovely Christmas. I hope you are all healthy and happy in the coming year.

Exactly what my thinking is now - spent too many years “thinking” about building a studio, getting into mixing and then talking myself out of it for practical reasons. Figured a couple of years ago that the amount of time I thought about not getting into mixing could be better spent actually mixing!

When you get some time, check out the “manic mix-off” contest that we just started. It’s an excellent way to get your feet wet. The best part about it is that we are all mixing the same song, so we can give direct input on what we are doing and you can apply it to your own, and you can ask tons of questions. 
What a great christmas present! I’m definitely going to give this a go!
