Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, 1943

“It’s Starting to Feel Like Christmas!” “Merry Christmas, to one and all!!!”

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

This song is written by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane in 1943.

Introduced by Judy Garland in the 1944 MGM musical “Meet Me in St. Louis”.

Have yourself a merry little Christmas

Let your heart be light

From now on, all our troubles will be out of sight

Have yourself a merry little Christmas

Make the yuletide gay

From now on, our troubles will be miles away

Here were are as in olden days

Happy golden days of yore

Faithful friends who are dear to us

Gather near to us once more

Through the years we all will be together

If the fates allow

Hang a shining star upon the highest bough

And have yourself a merry little Christmas now

Feedback is much appreciated. Thank you.

Love how you held that note on “away” with a perfect vibrato at the end.

So much for being able to stay on chord got awhile. Switch city goin on.

I wish you would mess up so I could comment on the production. haha

Churches should be paying you for your performances. Just a thought that ran thru my head. carry on

Hi Paul,
We have been busy with “Sambaing Gabi” masses on two churches this week, plus the weekend masses as well.
We also played for “Our Lady of Guadalupe” mass earlier this week as well.
No pay required.
And “no performance”, 'tis our offering and hopefully a prayerful offering.
Thank you so m much for the wonderful compliments.
Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones, Paul!!!
With love and respect,
Rene
