First, everyone, I am alive and back, for what it’s worth!
I don’t know exactly why, but 2024 was a strange year for me. I had to focus on a lot of family issues, then there was the election, and creating new music was not high on my priority list. Actually, about a year ago, I collected about 44 songs I’d worked on from 2023 to Backup Singer around that Christmas, which I wrote for my daughter Shara who succumbed to pneumonia a week earlier, and then I just stopped. However, I did try to use Gemini to write the html for an online playlist. Alas it never worked right, so I abandoned the effort. Moving forward to the present, I had written some music with no lyrics, called Citizen Share, just an idea about AI, and Copilot presented itself to try, so I spontaneously asked it to write some lyrics, which it did in half a second. They weren’t too bad considering the obscure dry topic I provided it. No matter, I sang and recorded it rather quickly on one take. To me it sounds a bit reggae, but I thought why not ask Copilot about the playlist, and another second later I had a new html page. Of course there was a lot of manual adding the files, not to mention getting all the features to actually work in the real world. AI is nice, but it really does get carried away.
Bottom line, I was successful this time, and I now have 46 songs and lyrics anyone can access at

It is very plain Jane but I’ve tested it on a phone as well as a PC, and you are invited to check it out. The first song was for Shara, and the last has the AI lyrics. I can easily clone this for three other playlists I want to put up- Planet of Beautiful People, Expresso Stebo, and Greatest Hits.
What I like is you can click on any song to play, and it will automatically play the next song. Plus there is a button to display the lyrics for the current song. You just need a website to host it on. It is lightweight and pure functionality, although bells and whistles are forthcoming!.
