First release with my new label

Hello indie recording depot,

Just signed on with a new label.

We had been in talks over various points in the last year and then when I played them this song they really liked it and said it would make a great first release of theirs.

Hopefully you guys dig.

There’s something weird about the levels in your mp3, they are all over the place, from loud to very soft, like there’s a LFO driving the overall levels, or some very slow limiter reacting a few seconds after the fact… very weird… Is that what the label mixed??? :astonished:

Ahhhh! I’m so sorry. When I first congratulated you (on the other post) I thought you meant a record label. My apologies.

I just realized you meant you signed on this website have re-labeled your user ID. Jeez. lol. My bad.

No though they are young in their history of releases- they are actually a pretty medium to mid-sized label coming from some other labels with some pretty exciting connections that I can’t get into just yet. The changes in volume were a bit weirdness I threw into to spice things up. I’m aware its a bit unorthodox. I knew what I was getting into - this is Bash This Recording haha.

Sounding good. I like the experimental mixing. I think sometimes it goes a little far and some cool things are lost or it hurts the ears a little. otherwise cool .

interesting I really appreciate that feedback. I think you are right I may have gone a bit far at some points. Believe it or not there were many even crazier versions of the mix that I ended up not going with.

I find this song very interesting in a good way !!!
It has a very original quality to it, a lot of people mix similar to each other including myself, but this is really different and great, thank you for sharing.
