"Fade" - Another original demo - This one takes a little while to unfold

Wow, really love how you’re stretching out on this, both on the guitar and your vocal range.

Thanks Bob! I was thinking of adding a part where I attempt a high “E” during that “Fade Away” ad-lib part, but the best I can do at present is an “Eb” (& that definitely scares both my dogs and the neighbours!)

You mention that it was originally a fairly basic structure, but there are a ton of ideas weaving around in the song.

As I said… I got carried away!

One thought; maybe as you bring the bridge in at 2:20, you could do a two beat dead stop followed by a quick drum fill to set off the chord changes there.

Maybe I’m just missing the jarring effect you often employ, but a stop might be worth a thought.

I like the mellow, jazzy-fusion feel of this one, especially the mellow lead guitar parts. Nice chord choices in certain spots of the song, too. I’d be interested in hearing the final version so that I can compare this version with it.

A few changes to "Fade"

Hi again everyone. I made a few changes to this one that I posted before here: It’s a little change in to part of the verse melody and later in the way the last hook transitions into the bridge.
