Dumber by the Minute

I think I might have posted a demo version of this earlier. In any case, here’s the completed version:

Thanks in advance for taking a listen and letting me know what you think!

CRS,
Thank you for the review! Now your song: is that real feedback? Sounds like it. Audio quality sounds consistently very good to me. Very nice singing, melodies, and instrumental performances: tasty lead guitar. Very good song and recording!

Those harmonies are spot on! Loving this one @ColdRoomStudio. I think @flyguitarfish would dig this one too. I really like the guitar panning and movement. By movement, I mean various guitar parts coming from different spots in the mix. It really captures your attention. Great work as always man!

I dig this song. Are you gonna want radio play? I’d be happy to play it on my station.

Thanks Aaron. Yes that is definitely real feedback. Thanks for listening and commenting!

Thanks Bryan, glad you liked it!

Cool, thanks Al. I haven’t released it yet, so I haven’t got ISRC codes etc yet. I’ll let you know and send you a copy when it is released.

Thank you, Ingo!

Great job as usual. Nothing stands out in the mix, it has good balance and the proper level of loudness.

Thanks JayGee!

everything is sounding good.
Is there a modulation type of effect on the lead vocals? either deliberately or inadvertently?
I am hearing some kind of unnatural shaky-ness in the vocals. It comes and goes, but it is taking some power away from your consonants, making the vocals in those parts sound a little weaker than they are.

I will hear this again in my studio later to make sure it isn’t something with my earbuds.

There is a very, very, very tiny amount of Soundtoys Microshift. It’s extremely subtle. I use it on virtually all my lead vocals, be that my song, or someone else’s. I’d be surprised if that is the cause of the issue you’re hearing.

Well, he is getting dumber by the minute…

it is quite possibly modulating in 2k-4kish zone, making it more or so apparent on the earbuds and not so much in an open-air environment. It was not bothersome when heard on speakers.
