I finally broke down and decided to demo a pair of these mics. I’ve been recording a bunch of scratch tracks with these. Mostly acoustic guitar and voice. I own some inexpensive ribbon mics and have been happy with the contrast they add to my mic collection. The royers are definitely a step up. I’ll post some clips when I get some keeper tracks. I am most interested in what they do with electric guitars and overheads.
So far I would describe them as detailed and clean with robust lowend that is not overwhelming.
