Daaaaang... That's a lot of Reverb. I have no idea how they did this

Skip to 1:19 to hear Liam Neeson.

I was just admiring the short dense conglomerate of reverbs on Liam Neeson’s voice. Huge pre-delay to move it out of the way of the dry track…most likely through a U47.

As much as I love what they did with it, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a stock Avid Air-Verb. I’ve heard quite a few post engineers talk about how they use a lot of stock avid plugins. The tintish metallic signature suggests a plate verb. But also a nice drawing out smooth boomy hall like verb. Maybe side chained against the dry vocal to duck out of the way until the line is complete. Beautifully done.

Yoda voice: Compressed…this reverb is!

It seems a bit overdone to me, even for theatrics. It could be TL Space, which I think comes stock with Pro Tools (or a free adjunct). Maybe one of the many Hall impulses in TL Space.

Just sounds like D verb to me with the whole vox side chained to the track

Oops! That’s what I meant.
