I don’t think I’ve ever seen this an optical compressor circuit explained with such simplicity and relevance. If you’ve ever wondered why an optical compressor sounds so different from a VCA, vari-mu, or FET, this is worth watching. I definitely learned something new there.

Spending $4-5k for a single hardware unit is total insanity for home studio folks. That’s not the point - to me, the knowledge carries value because it helps you understand why some of your plugins sound the way they do :slight_smile:
