Bash My firework remix

Here is something I entered into a remix contest. Actually got a whole 6 votes woo hoo
It was a straight up RE MIX contest. But rather than trying to shoehorn the basic elements into some incoherent EDM loops and throwing samples at it… I decided to track all live instruments and actually “play” the tune like a band. I think I called it an “organic remix” or something like that.

That is one awesome guitar. Also wish those high pitched vocals during the end lasted longer. Well done!

Thanks Buddy…
I’m not that great at playing guitar so that means a lot to me…
But I build them better than I play them…

I think the guitar solo is saying “Dream of rain yele yele”. Where can i vote for it?

It was an indaba thing. I think it’s over by now. Thanks, Bud

Cool blend of Pop & Rock. Quite creative, and good guitar indeed.
6 votes is not much… I guess it went off of the head of most people because it was different from straight EDM they were expecting?
As for me, I quite like the musicality of your additions (what I guess are your additions in any case!)
Cool track, thanks for sharing!

Thanks, Man…
I don’t know… But it seems that if you don’t get in there and lobby for your mix, you hardly get any listens nevermind votes…
I did one mix like that and the only person that listened and commented was the artist herself…
I did live drums, all gtrs, some sub bass and small sfx on that mix. I did live bass. But the loop/stem of slap bass was too cool to replace.
Thanks again

Really cool. But I hear you about lobbying for your mix. I suppose it’s the name of the game.

Very cool Rich…This sounds exceptional!

Was this an Indaba thing? Now there’s a social media sharkpool…someone sure is making money, but I’m pretty sure it ain’t the artist, and it sure ain’t the contestants!

Pretty stunning stuff! :beerbang:

man, you made this song sooo much better than the original, lol,
I didn’t even want to do this song, and passed on it, lol, now you’ve made me think more about being free to create, Thanks !!!
Guess I’m not an EDM guy, lol,
You have a creative talented gift,

I agree with every comment on here, lol,

I haven’t a clue what the original sounds like, but this was one creative mix! Every element fits really well! If I were to knitpick, I’d say the lead guitar solos could be brought forward and given a touch of reverb… But a really appealing mix!

You know… I don’t even know what the original was like. I just got into it enough to figure out the changes and went from there. Then the only thing I heard after that were hardcore remixes.
I’d bring the ld gtr solos up if there was anything good in there… Thanks buddy!

Glad to hear that! If I hear something, I go with it and that usually leads to something else… But I’ve passed on a few of them myself. Still have them on the HD if I get bored someday…

Thank you for the kind words… they mean a lot…

Thanks Buddy!
Yup… indaba. I only joined for the files. It is what it is over there. But it’s pretty educational on many levels. You get to hear some supremely talented individuals and then you get to see what it really takes to promote your work. I call it “LA in a box”
Thanks again

Yup… I could care less about “votes”. I just wanted the files to play with
Thanks a bunch!

Thanks to all that listened and commented so far. Your kindness warms my heart (and inflates my head).
I kept wanting to comment “you should have heard my remix of Crash by Usher”. SO maybe I should post that as well. I wasn’t that happy with the mix last time I listened. But maybe keep your eyes peeled…
