Looking for a Rebec Fiddle (string instrument). Well made.
If anyone knows someone who makes them, or is familiar with the design of handmade string instruments… give me holler please! 
Well no but they’re all over the web, ebay etc. kits too, not that expensive for a decent stringed instrument. Can’t you just fake it with a fiddle?
unfortunately no. Its for a very specific sound track and there are no good VSTs for it either. Trust me I have tried with a fiddle 
Just not the same.
Might just take a leap of faith on one of the ones for sale on the web.
I have no experience with this instrument or these people but if it were me I would call them and see what they recommend.
@FluteCafe just a thought. It wouldn’t help you with your project and I know you can’t post any tracks here but it would be an interesting challenge for IRDers to try and make a fiddle track sound like a rebec, someone might get close. Just a thought.
