Alert: Slate Digital and macOS 10.15 Catalina

I have minimal Slate stuff, and won’t encounter this Mac upgrade, but I thought some of you might appreciate the heads-up. Likely, if you’re a Slate customer you got this email too.

UPDATE ALERT: CATALINA 10.15

Valued Slate Customer,

As you may have heard, Apple is set to release macOS 10.15 Catalina in October.

We pride ourselves on customer experience, which is why we recommend that you WAIT to upgrade your operating system to 10.15 Catalina until further notice.

Our development team is working tirelessly to ensure that ALL Slate software is fully compatible with this update, and we will let you know as soon as we confirm that you can make that sweet, sweet music on 10.15.

Always appreciate the heads up on this stuff. My iMac is partitioned into two systems. I’ve only recently moved everything over to Mojave. Now that I’ve done that, I’ll take the old partition and install Catalina and play around with it. My MacBook, on the other hand, is still on High Sierra. lol

Well, my Macbook Pro - which used to be my main audio rig (some years ago) - is still on Snow Leopard! It still works okay, but lots of software that have continued to move their system requirements forward are no longer supported. I have a shortcut to El Capitan ready to go, just never pulled the trigger. I assume it will still work.
