Acoustic demo with only guess timing (how bad?)

I don’t even have a mic stand here. ha ha I held the mic in my right hand. I couldn’t strum, so i did a power grab with the acoustic to get the bed down. I kept the mic on my lips to try to isolate. You will here the dry mouth clicks. After I got done then I watched the patterns come up and tried to guess strum. One regular acoustic on one side and one capo’d on the other. One bass track. four tracks total. It is a mess, but might be redeemable?

Wow, cool Paul. I think it is great as is. It may be a mess, but it’s a perfectly good mess! I love the way the rhythms ebb and flow - it’s real, it’s human, that’s what you do best.

Thanks for the listen Andy. I could refine it more by isolating each track I guess, but I will be moving on. Glad you thought it felt “human” ha ha best to you and yours

Glad it smucked you Eric. I listen to my six grandkids and thru the teens, there are many moments of low self esteem. It started with my grandaughter Jenna say “I don’t like me much”. Messy tracks are good once in awhile. Thanks for listening

I don’t have an easy time feeling tempo without drums, very often. The timing is not always flawless, but mostly just fine. Still a nice song with mostly nice audio. Sometimes I go through phases of making unwanted mouth smacking noises. For years, I used a camera tripod with rubber bands as a mic stand. I finally broke down and bought a ~$35 mic stand a few years back. I used to always hold the mic with my hand when singing (I felt I could sing better holding the mic), but now the mic is older and makes more noise when hand held.

I like this Paul. The vocals have a good feel to the sound. Whatever set up you have there, don’t touch it.
