Nice song! It passes the whisper test so I think the mix balance is pretty good. I will say it is very bass guitar strong, but I like that. It seems to work, drives the beat along. I wondered if the rhythm guitars were getting drowned out by the bass, but I’m not sure there are other rhythm guitar parts in there anyway (or I can’t hear them due to the bass) - just that one lead/rhythm guitar on the right side (on my speakers). It sounds good, but were used to hearing layered guitars and rhythm guitar on both sides. I don’t hear much guitar on the left side, just saying. That’s my “inner engineer” talking.

I did feel that since your bass guitar is so strong, you could punch up the kick drum in the lower register a bit to get more oomph out of it. Below the bass resonant frequency of course, maybe even sub-kick realm of 60-80 Hz or lower. The kick click is nice, it just seems like it could have that little boost of low end underneath the bass to really make the rhythm section more solid and driving.

I listened to the second version. It passes the “listening with earbuds on an iPhone” test.

Nice guitar riff and sound. I kinda liked the bass in the first one, but I am always like that. Like the song a lot. In my headphones it sounds kinda a little over compressed or something like the mid freq are missing. I am not a good mix guy and I guess I just should of said I liked it and left it at that:) Ok, I went back and I like the first one much better. ha ha

Sincerely

Great job on the kick drum, exactly what I was talking about! The loudness of mix2 is less than the loudness of mix1 when I did A/B. The mix sounds a little different too, different than just the enhanced kick drum maybe. What else did you change?

Sounds really good on my TV speakers. :+1: I especially like the drum sound.

I’m getting off to this mix. I think the kick is clicky, but this sounds like buttermilk being poured over my nipples. I’m really liking this mix.

Cant remember now lol, on re opening a session I always get carried away when intending to make a small revision

Best feedback ever lol

The original draft was much more lewd, but I didn’t want holster to blow his load, um I mean, blow a gasket.

I love the song and the writing. There a lot of elements happening. Metal rock alternative progressive. good job on song writing. as for the mix the first thing I noticed is the drum sound. It sounds a bit raw for my taste. On the intro, the left cymbals are much brighter with reference to rest of the kit and is somehow giving out the vibe of a sampled cymbal. The whole kit sound to me sounds boxy. The kick drums get lost at times especially on the consecutive fast thumps. I think it needs compression to let out all those transients and the a limiter to chop those peaks. The snare drums sounds so sweet. I’d just cut a bit in the mids to lessen the boxy feel. The rest is all well balanced especially the bass guitar. The mix does get into me after a while of listening. its sounding better as I go through the song. If you have a mastering plugin like izotope ozone ,try slapping an it into the master buss and experiment with the presets just for fun. Thats what I would do at least. just my 2 cents. Thanks for letting us listen to this track.

Hey cool song again, you mix songs very fast!
The song is well written, nice hook and nice arrangement, the guitar riff is really strong. Did you make any editing to the tracks?

Regarding the mix, I would second @brianinogang from what he pointed out.
I also wish that the song goes louder and the final section to really get excitement to the end.

Nice job, again!
