2018 Cover the 50s Contest Beaver

Hi All,

I was planning on submitting a parody for the Cover the 50s contest.

To go along with the idea, I tried to emulate a bucktoothed singer who has a passion for beavers.

Any and all feedback welcomed.

Revised mix includes

Nature background lowered
Banjo and Mandolin increased
Odd timing on sound FX tightened and dropped in sections

Beaver

I’ve watched a million shows about you
Please excuse me when I stare
When you use your teeth to cut trees,
I post on snapchat so I can share, I see a beaver

Blocking waterways
I paddle up close in my canoe

Dude! Love it!!! This is turning out even better than I imagined it could. It could possibly use a bit of banjo, but this is awesome!

Thanks for the listen and feedback, guys :smiley:

I did add a bit of banjo (intro, “Busy Beaver”, and last chorus to the end) and a bit of mandolin (next to last chorus and last chorus to the end), but maybe they are too subtle in the mix.

Haha this is awesome. I can’t tell though if I like the mistimed (late) synth… In a way it adds to the humor, but it started to bother me about halfway through the song.

Haha! This is fantastic mate!!!
I love it :+1:
Really catchy too, the rythem and feel are great.
This would do well on youtube with a video of beavers.
