I write songs and play the piano and a few other bits and pieces… I’ve done quite a range of musical projects over the years. One of my biggest adventures was getting contracted to EMI (UK) in the early 1980s and recording a single at Abbey Rd Studios. Long story, long ago, I walked away and didn’t make any music for a long time. Songs kept writing themselves and I did some more recording in NZ. Once again, I really needed to take an active part in the production process but felt totally intimidated by technical stuff. Bought a simple interface, kept it in the box for a year and finally opened it in 2011. Joined RecordingReview and began a journey into the intricacies of audio.
I read manuals, I LOVE recording and experimenting with sounds.
