Which is funny, because after Jim Martin left, I thought they recorded their best record: King For A Day, Fool For A Lifetime… although fans of their earlier stuff were probably turned off by it. I saw them on that tour and it was fantastic.

I saw Devin a couple years ago, and the show was amazing. He’s terribly self-deprecating yet amazingly confident and funny at the same time (at least on stage).

I’ve liked most of his work except SYL, and now this new album. There’s almost too much “epic” in it. Is that possible?

After reading up in it, he seems to have gone through a mid-life crisis or really processed some deep existential stuff, and decided to let Jack out of the Box. :upside_down_face:
