I’m an engineer/mixer that doesn’t take myself too seriously. Joke mixes are some of my favorite things, but I can be serious when needed. I’m a big opponent of dynamic range compression, and I do not think any of it at all is necessary during the mastering stage. The work of Barry Diament reinforces that statement, for those of you understandably skeptical.
