Think of this like playing an instrument. Play Bach with a Debussy technique, and it’ll sound like shit because its fucking out of context. You may find it amusing, but the person writing your paycheck won’t. Find one of the many million ways to make Bach sound like Bach, and THEN your variables of interpretation become subjective. Same goes with mixing.

There’s several parts to this. First is acquiring enough technique to actually do something, the second is figuring out what other people do correctly. Thats the point of studying lol
