I mean, obviously it depends on how full on the track is, but for a typical rock song with some dynamics, maybe a short breakdown and quiet intro, -10LUFS works for me.

WellâŚnowadays you have bloggers and indie internet radio, weâve discovered that you never know what youâll sound like on these platforms as usually the guy behind the board (some garage broadcaster/podcaster) most of the time doesnât know what heâs doing. Then afterwards the whole thing ends up posted on one of the platforms that have loudness normalization, so in essence you get 2-3 steps that youâre out of control after your last production step (i.e. mastering).
