I was sitting with one of my mentors some years ago, at his mixing console, and he was telling me about the "solo bus" signal flow through the console. So, I politely asked for a similar explanation of the "mute bus" operation. I was joking with him of course, but for a minute I think he thought I was serious ... then we both cracked up laughing. Mute Bus. Mwahahahaha!

And if that's an AT4040, he's singing into the back side of the capsule, too. I know-- because I have done that myself!! Rocket science, baby!
Actually, I did put a new set of strings on my 12-string today, to track a part for a tune I'm working on. So I guess I lied. You'll have to sue me.
